THE BURDEN OF BLISS

I think of him always,
Surprised by his salience in my thoughts.
We discuss the marriage of minds,
The molding of men,
Sinister society
And the ideal each other.
But, it seems,
Destiny has secured my heart in a box,
Shielded on all sides from the burden of bliss.
Perhaps She will protect me thus all my life,
Such humor does become Her…

Destiny’s dagger has jabbed deeply,
But she has no trophy to boast of yet.
So, Worthy Vixen, let the next chase begin,
While I look fondly upon the memories that shape our souls.
